The spots encourage people to donate to J/P HRO’s Help Haiti Home initiative and are meant to raise awareness of the continuing struggles ced by the people of Haiti two years after the devastating earthquake that hit the country on Jan. 12, 2010.

23,000 people live in the tent city of Petionville Camp, which is managed by J/P HRO. The organization’s Help Haiti Home program is raising funds to help them return to the neighborhoods from which they were displaced. The group says that accomplishing that goal costs about $1,300 per person. Donations can be made atCrowdrise.comor at J/P HRO.
Celebrities continue to call attention to Haiti, includingOprah Winfrey, who visited the country on Dec. 12, touring a tent encampment with Penn. She’ll feature her feature on an upcoming program on OWN. "This is part of the next chapter, going around the world to see interesting and scinating cases of profound examples of what can be done to make a difference in the world," Winfrey said.
